Using a clean brush and dustpan, brush th erug to make sure it's free of loose fibers. Lay the rug flat over the drop cloth to protect the floor surface underneath it.
Step 2.
Plan the design and position the first stencil. Mask out the rest of the rug with lining paper taped to the stencil with masking tape. Spray the first colour.
Step 3.
Spray on the second colour as a highlight, build up colour gradually. Move the stencil and mask it in the second position for painting.
Step 4.
When the border is finished and dry, move on to the central motifs.
Step 5.
To brighten up use spray vanish over the surface when the design is complete.
