- Step 1.
- Cut a red strip of paper 15.2 cm x 43.2cm.
- Step 2.
- Accordion fold the middle section into four evenly spaced, pleats, allowing 15.2 cm on each end for the front and back covers.
- Step 3.
- Line the inside front and back cover with zebra paper ( allow a slight edge of red to show all around ). Mat a photo and a journaling panel and center them inside each front and back inside cover.
- Step 4.
- Die-cut twelve black tags and thread a red ribbon through each tag hole.
- Step 5.
- Attach the first four tags onto the front side of each pleat. Attach the middle row of tags onto the back side of each pleat. Attach the final four tags onto the front sude each pleat. There should be a slight gap between each row of tags allowing the tags to form a crisscrossing pattern when the album is opened.
- Step 6.
- Decorate each tag with photos, die-cuts,stickers and journaling ( with silver pen). Three-dimensional embellishments, such as a silver heart charm, can be added where desired.
- Step 7.
- Mat the title of the album and attach it to the front cover.
- Step 8.
- Create a long strip of matted paper to wrap around the album using a double fold on the sides to accommodate the width of mini book . Overlap the strip in back and glue together to form a band that slides over the album to hold it closed.
- Step 9.
- Decorate the slider with a matted photo and matted eyelet word that is raised with foam adhesive to complete the mini book.
Note: The accordion pleats in this mini book create a wonderful dimensionally even before the addition of ribbon and metal charms.
