The translucent colour and tissue thin texture of poppies always look happy.
Supplies:
Container :
- Oblong glass vase, 7" tall, 9" wide at opening , 4" deep
- Square glass vase, 3" tall, 3" deep, 4" wide
Flowers:
- 5 orange poppies and buds
- Bear grass
Other supplies & tools:
- Wire cutters
- Glue gun and glue
- Dried bean ( lime beans, kidney beans and black beans)
Instructions:
For the small vase:
- Step 1.
- Fill small vase level with the opening with the bean of your choice.
- Step 2.
- Cut one poppy to a stem length of 2"" and insert in back right corner.
- Step 3.
- Cut another poppy stem to length of 5"" and insert in front right corner. Shape stem downward.
- Step 4.
- Insert two buds extending from the right side.
- Step 5.
- Curl a piece of cut stem and insert on the left side.
- Step 6.
- Squirt a little hot glue around the stems of all the flowers where they are inserted in the benas.
For large vase:
- Step 1.
- Fill large glass vase with layers of beans level with the opening.
- Step 2.
- Cut one poppy bud stem to 12"" and another 9"". Insert buds vertically in back left corner.
- Step 3.
- Cut two poppy blossoms to 5"". Insert one in back vase and other curved in front.
- Step 4.
- Insert last blossom in the left corner.
- Step 5.
- Add other bud curving to the left side.
- Step 6.
- Add bear glass around the vertical poppies. Glue as needed."
