Supplies:
- One 4 1/2" - diameter clay pot
- Five miniature garden tools
- Two 1" - diameter green wooden beads
- One 1/2" - diameter natural wooden bead
- One 1" - diameter button
- One star-shaped concho
- Aluminium or tin scrap
- 8" of heavy wire
- Fishing line
- Light green, dark green, orange, purple, red, terra-cotta, violet and white acrylic paints
- Fine-tip permanent black marker
- Acrylic primer/sealer
- Matte spray sealer
- Paintbrushes
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Tin snips or scissors
- Photocopy machine
Instructions:
- Step 1.
- Paint inside and outside of pot with acrylic primer and let dry. Using photo-copy machine, enlarge garden chimes pattern. Paint vegetable pattern around pot. When dry, draw detail with black marker. Let dry. Spray with matte sealer.
- Step 2.
- Paint wooden handles of garden tool terra-cotta. When dry, spray with matte sealer.
- Step 3.
- Cut a 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" rectangle from aluminium or tin. Paint both sides with primer and let dry. Paint both sides white. Let dry. Paint carrot design and write " seed" with permanent black marker on each side. When dry, spray with matte sealer.
- Step 4.
- Make a loop in one end of heavy wire. Thread other end through wooden bead and then through hole on bottom of pot. Twist wire on inside.
- Step 5.
- Tie a 5" length of fishing line onto inside wire. Thread other end through button and then through center of concho. Secure.
- Step 6.
- Cut five varying lengths of fishing line. Tie one end of each line around concho. Hot-glue other ends to each garden tool. Cut a longer length of fishing line and secure in center of concho. Thread remaining beads onto line and secure halfway down. Poke a hole through top center of "seeds" rectangle and thread onto fishing line . Tie off.
