Round bouquets are classic. They can look traditional or contemporary.
Supplies:
Container:
- Low ceramic pedestal vase, 4" tall , 6 " opening
Flowers:
- 10 pink miniature gerbera daisies
- 8 white roses and buds
- 7 purple scabiosa
- 4 ivory sweet peas
- 5 white viburnum
- Pink wildflower blossoms
- Yellow statice
- Pale green hydrangea
- White daisy-like flowers
Other supplies & tools:
- Glue gun and glue
- Wire cutters
- Knife
- Floral U-pins
- Floral foam base material
- Seet moss
Instructions:
- Step 1.
- Trim foam base material with knife to fit inside the container, allowing the foam to extend slighty above the opening. Secure foam to container.
- Step 2.
- Cover base material with sheet moss. Secure with U-pins.
- Step 3.
- Trim the stems of the viburnum to a height appropriate for the container. Insert the viburnum in a cluster, centered in the container, at height of about 5". The viburnum stablish the round shape and create a background for the other flowers.
- Step 4.
- Insert the gerbera daisies, equally spaced and following the round shape, to a height of about 6". The gerberas reinforce the shape and add contrast of colour and shape.
- Step 5.
- Insert the roses with the largest ones near the bottom. Add buds near the top. This helps create visual weight. Allow some of the roses to spill over the edge of the container.
- Step 6.
- Insert the scabiosa equally spaced into the arrangement.
- Step 7.
- Fill in with sweet peas, pink blossoms, statice, white daisies, and hydrangea. These add texture, contrast and movement. Be sure all the flowers stay loosely within the round shape.
